Ultra Low Power Development Board

Texas Instruments released a development board aimed at accelerating low power designs for medical, industrial and consumer embedded systems. This board has multiple input and output options allowing for rapid system development. The main features of the board include:

Integrated peripherals: 12-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter, 12-bit SAR Analog-to-Digital Converter, 16-bit Sigma Delta Analog-to-Digital Converter, Operational Amplifiers, DMA, Multiplier, LCD Controller
Communication Interfaces: SPI, UART, I2C, IrDA
Programming and Debugging: Can be programmed using any MSP430 Flash Emulation Tool (MSP-FET430UIF)
Wireless expansion: Compatible with TI Wireless CCxxx0EMK Evaluation Modules, such as the CC2500EMK
Board Features: Microphone, buzzer, LCD, capacitive touch-pad, 2x push buttons, prototyping space, RS232 communication interface, 2x JTAG Programming Interfaces, 3.5mm headphone jack (audio output)

Priced at $99, this is a great way for innovators to develop and evaluate their ideas. I personally enjoy developing with this board, and find that in most cases it covers everything I need. I strongly recommend this product to everyone, from a student working on their thesis project to professional embedded system developers.
